Performance Information

To be able to submit Performance Information for Breedplan analysis you must be an Angus Group Breedplan Member (see Getting into Angus GROUP BREEDPLAN).

Submitting Performance information Online

Step 1 - Log into the Members Area of the Angus Australia website (see Fig. 1) by holding your mouse pointer over “MEMBER SERVICES” then move it over to “Members Logon” then move it over and Click on “Log-On”.

Step 2 - Enter your Member ID and Password in the fields provided (see Fig.2).

Step 3 - Once you have reached the AA Members Page, click on the Online Transactions icon at
the top of the page (see Fig. 3 ), which will take you to the Batch Screen (see Fig. 4 ).

Step 4 - To create a batch to work with click on the “Create a New Batch” heading (see Fig. 4 )
which will then take you to the “Creating a new Batch” screen where you can specify the type
of batch you wish to create (see Fig. 5 ).

Step 5- Select the “Automatically create a batch…” option, plus the “Weights & Scanning” option,
then click on the “Create” button.

Step 6 - You will then be taken to the “Angus Build Online Registration Batch” screen (see
Fig. 6 ), where you can specify which animals are selected in the batch. If you don't include a Birth Year all animals in your herd will be included. Click on "Search"

Step 7 - A list of animals will then be displayed (see Fig. 7 ), from which you will then need to remove those animals that you DON'T wish to submit performance information for, simply remove the tick from any animals that you DON'T wish to submit information on, then click on the “FINISH” button.

Step 8 - This will leave you with a batch containing only those animals you wish to submit data for (see Fig. 8 ). To enter the data for an animal you will need to click on the “Edit” link in the ‘Record No.’ column to open the ‘Weights & Scanning Form’ screen (see Fig. 9), on to which the performance information may be entered.

When entering the information it is important to follow the instructions for each data
field. After you enter the data in each field use the ‘TAB’ key to move onto the next field. Once
you have entered all the information for that animal click on the ‘GO’ button to validate the data entered.
Should there be any errors, such as invalid dates or required fields being left empty, the screen
will be displayed again with any errors highlighted in RED. Any errors will need to be corrected
and you will need to re-validate the data before you can move on. Once you have successfully
entered the data for that animal you will then return to the list of animals in the batch (see Fig.
8
), from which you can select the next animal to enter data on.

Step 9 - Once information on all animals have been entered you should click on 'View Batch Summary and Batch Submission Screen' (see Fig. 10 ) which will take you to the ‘Batch Summary’ screen (see Fig. 11 ), this screen will show the file as being ‘validated’ , and from where you can
submit the batch for processing by clicking the ‘Submit this batch to Angus’ link at the bottom
of that page.
