MEMBERS VOTE FOR CHANGE

Members voted overwhelmingly to adopt the new Angus Australia constitution at the Annual General Meeting in Sydney on 30th March.

Around 200 voted by proxy and another 100 in person with over 95% of these in favor, providing a clear mandate for the change.

In future the board will consist of 12 members, two from each state elected by the members in that state by postal ballot and rotated biennially.

The new Board will take office at its first meeting on 27th August. This will be a smaller board that can focus on strategy and policy to position the Angus breed to take advantage of the many opportunities coming to our industry especially in the areas of genetic description and branded beef.
