In an extremely generous move to encourage entries of steers at the NSW
Beef Spectacular at Dubbo, NSW, from March 4 to 6, the Speckle Park Cattle
Company has provided $10,000 prize money for the pen of three steers and
the led steer competitions. The money will be distributed regardless of

at Cargill’s Jindalee feedlot will also be announced at the Dubbo
event which is an Angus Feature Show.

TakeStock is an exciting benchmarking tool for the beef seedstock industry.
It collates BREEDPLAN and Selection Index information to provide cattle
breeders with a report that empowers them to assess and improve the rate
of genetic progress in their herds. TakeStock reports provide eligible
Breedplan members with figures for key variables that affect the rate
of genetic improvement being made for breeding objectives. A series of
eight one day TakeStock workshops have recently been completed across
