TakeStock is an exciting benchmarking tool for the beef seedstock industry. It collates BREEDPLAN and Selection Index information to provide cattle breeders with a report that empowers them to assess and improve the rate of genetic progress in their herds.

TakeStock reports provide eligible Breedplan members with figures for key variables that affect the rate of genetic improvement being made for breeding objectives.

Criteria for inclusion in a TakeStock analysis

A series of eight one day TakeStock workshops have recently been completed across Australia. To further assist members to understand and use their TakeStock reports web-based support resources are being developed.
