Interested in exporting Angus cattle?

The Society obtains frequent enquiries from overseas bodies interested in importing Australian Angus cattle.  These requests are promptly referred to LiveCorp, a company owned and funded by licenced livestock exporters in association with Meat and Livestock Australia.

If you are approached by an overseas representative interested in importing cattle from Australia it is a good policy to check their credentials with LiveCorp – see contact details on the their website.  Similarly, if you are interested in exporting live cattle then the first step should be to consult LiveCorp.

Angus Australia provides pedigree and quality assurance certification of Angus cattle exported for breeding purposes under the Australian Cattle Genetic Export Standards and Quality Assurance Certification Process, administered by the Australian Cattle Genetics Export Agency (ACGEA).  Certification of cattle for export under this scheme can only be conducted for members of Angus Australia.  Non-members can only access this certification process by joining as a Commercial member of the Society.

LiveCorp and MLA have produced a useful Tips & Tools Sheet on "Preparation of cattle for live export"
