Can anyone sell cattle on AngusOnline?
Provided you hold a current financial Commercial or Full Membership with Angus Australia. Membership
applications can be downloaded from our website.
Do the cattle for sale need to be sired by and joined (where applicable) to performance recorded
Angus bulls which have been registered with Angus Australia?
Yes, it is a requirement that the sires need to be registered either in the Herd Book register, Red Angus register or
Angus Performance register with Angus Australia.
Do the cattle need to be inspected or can I just tell you what I have for sale?
All cattle need to be assessed by accredited assessors to produce an AuctionsPlus livestock description for each

Do I upload the cattle myself or is this done for me?
Assessors or their branch will upload the assessment and photos, it is important for the vendor to assure the
information that is given to the assessor is accurate, true and correct. The assessor will have a full assessment
entry form, this must be checked off and signed by the vendor and assessor.
When do I have to have my animals nominated for the sale?
Vendors must nominate their entry into a sale no later 7 days prior to the sale date.
Can I add photos or video for my animals?
The AuctionsPlus assessor is able to take still digital photos and where appropriate, high
definition video. This is then loaded by the assessor for each individual lot.

How long does it take and where can I see a catalogue?
A catalogue will be produced approximately 4 days prior to the sale. It will include - photos,

Do I need to tag my cattle with any particular tag or is a plain management tag acceptable?
Only cattle nominated as eligible for CAAB shall carry the Angus Assured ear tag. These tags are available

management tags can be used.
Do we need to make mention of vaccinations or treatments the cattle may have undertaken?
Any added animal health information can be added to assessment prior to cataloguing.
How do I bid on animals?
Before you can bid in an auction, you must be registered with AuctionsPlus.
(www.auctionsplus.com.au/registration_form) Registration and connection to an auction over
the internet is free and you only need to register once. AuctionsPlus will
respond to your registration request and will send confirmation to your email within 48 hours.
Once registered with AuctionsPlus this includes AngusOnline. Be sure to register well in
advance of an upcoming sale.
Is there a weight curfew on lots?
The assessor will advise on curfews, cattle can be weighed full or empty, if cattle weighed full,
the assessor will give the stock an adjusted delivery weight, if cattle are sold on a liveweight
basis and loaded full, they can be weighed at the nearest weigh bridge(on trucks), less 5%(curfew).
I want to sell through AngusOnline but also want to support my independent agent?
AngusOnline is an Angus Australia and Landmark initiative, AngusOnline can be accessed by outside agents,
however stock must be booked through the nominated Landmark contact Tim Bayliss 0457 568 803. Some
conditions will apply

How much is it going to cost me to sell through AngusOnline?
AngusOnline is proud to offer vendors, this exciting marketing tool. Cost is only $5.90 per head (AuctionsPlus fee),
your local Landmark branch commission (plus a Government cattle levy).
If my cattle don't sell what is it going to cost?
In the event of the stock being passed in, the vendor has the right to re-offer the stock in the next AuctionsPlus
cattlesale (Fridays at 10:00 EST) free of charge. If stock are not sold after both offers or were not listed for
the second sale or were sold privately prior or pre sale, the vendor will be charged the $5.90 per head
listing fee.
What sort of advertising will I get whilst my cattle are listed for an upcoming sale?
AngusOnline is a nationally promoted livestock auction system. Stock to be listed on AuctionsPlus

www.angusaustralia.com.au also information on sales sent to 1,000's via Landmark and Angus

How long do I have to bid? Can I retract a bid?
Simultaneous sales have a start pronounced sale time, a clock will appear approximately 20 minutes into the sale.
The length of the sale is determined by the bidding. After each bid the clock will reset back to 60 seconds. If there
is not a bid in that 60 seconds the sale will close. If a bid is lodged, the clock will go back to either 40, 50 or 60
seconds.Retracting bids is not allowed. Be sure you bid correctly! Check out a prior sale before a sale you wish
purchase from.
Will I receive notification that my cattle are sold?
Results are available online www.auctionsplus.com.au/results. Sale Results can be found on the AngusOnline
website and will be available immediately after the sale. Sold, passed in or no bid will appear.
How do I pay for cattle I've purchased?
Purchasers must give details on their preferred registered agent and must have a current trading facility with that
agent. If not, full payment must be cleared and transacted (cleared funds) prior to delivery of livestock.
