Updated ASBP Progeny Performance Reports

December 4, 2018 9:09 am

The Angus TACE EBVs and progeny averages listed in the Angus Sire Benchmarking Project (ASBP) Progeny Performance Reports and online in angus.tech have recently been updated to include the following progeny data:

  • Cohort 6: Abattoir carcase data for all Cohort 6 steers including verified or corrected outlier records. The data includes carcase weight, EMA, rib fat, rump fat, laboratory measured IMF, retail beef yield and several MSA traits (e.g. MSA Marble Score and MSA Index).
  • Cohort 7: Yearling weights and live-animal ultrasound scan data form EMA, IMF, rib fat and rump fat.  Note: several mobs of steers and heifers are yet to be weighed and scanned for this Cohort. The related values may therefore change as further mobs are analysed.
  • Cohort 8: All calving data including gestation length, birth weight and calving difficulty scores.
  • Cohorts 6, 7, 8: Update TACE EBVs from the December 2018 TACE analysis.

There is a separate report for each Cohort that can be accessed under the Sire Benchmarking menu item on the Angus Australia website or by clicking on the link below:

Alternatively, you are also able to access, search and sort through the data on the ASBP sires via the ASBP online catalogue. CLICK HERE or the image below to access this facility.
