Robert (Bobby) Gregory has been involved with the Angus breed all of his life.
Bobby was born, raised and worked his entire life at Booroomooka Angus on the Munro’s property, Keera Station at Bingara.
Bobby started out under his father as the assistant herdsman and in 1967, when his father retired, took on the managers role at Booroomooka Angus. Bobby met his wife Yvonne in 1957 and in 1964 went on to marry and both work together at Booroomooka Angus for the Munro’s.
In total Bobby worked for Booroomooka Angus for 63 years with HR Munro, HG Munro and finally Hugh Munro (current Angus Australia President of the Board). Bobby loved Booroomooka and loved working with the Munro’s
During Bobby’s time at Booroomooka Angus he travelled to Sydney Show every year with the team and this yearly pilgrimage has never ceased with Bobby not missing a show in the last 78 years. This year Bobby was recognised for his service and committment to the RAS at Sydney Show, receiving the prestigious ‘Show Legend’ award.
Angus Australia would like to congratulate Bobby Gregory on this milestone and contribution to the Angus breed and wish him many more happy visits to the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
