SUPPORTING THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW
Achmea Australia and Angus Australia announce a program to support the leaders of tomorrow.
Specialist rural insurance company Achmea Australia and registered breed organisation Angus Australia have today announced a new program designed to support the future leaders of Australia’s beef and agricultural industries.
The GenAngus Future Leaders Program will mentor young entrepreneurs seeking to advance their knowledge and skills, via a first-class initiative that will help shape the industry for years to come.
FARM INSURANCE THAT STARTED WITH A GLASS JAR
Achmea was established over 200 years ago, when 39 farmers put money in a glass jar, to be compensated in case one of them had a Hooibroei’ – a haystack fire.
Those 39 farmers worked to support each other and minimise the risks and threats faced by each other’s farms, not just their own.
Their commitment to a truly co-operative approach to insurance remains alive and well in Achmea today.
Achmea keeps farmers farming
Achmea has stayed true to the philosophy and commitment of our founding farmers. Our glass jar represents the co-operative spirit and partnership that still drives us. We are focused on reducing risk, not just insuring against it.
Shared values are at the heart of our co-operation with Rabobank
Achmea are associated with Rabobank, and share the same values of community and solidarity, while forging genuine partnerships with our clients
With a group solvency of over 200% and total equity of around 10 billion English pounds. Achmea has a very strong financial position. That robust starting point is combined with a very prudent investment portfolio. Achmea’s healthy financial position is confirmed by the A+ credit rating from S&P for insurance entities. Continuity for the long term and keeping commitments to customers are key to everything Achmea does.
