At the 2015 Royal Launceston Show, Angus Youth member Alice Hall competed in the 2015 Tasmanian Rural Ambassador competition. Saturday the 10th October saw the numerous competitors explore the showgrounds and the many attractions before attending an interview with the judging panel. The interview consisted of a range of questions varying from their involvement in their local show society to the other achievements of their lives.

Alice was fortunate to be awarded the 2016 Peter Seager Tasmanian Ambassador Award. This will see Alice compete in the National finals next year.

At the end of the competition Alice was over-joyed to be named as the 2016 Tasmanian Ambassador and stated, “this competition was a huge learning curve for me but I am looking forward to participating in the national final in 2016”.

“It will give me the opportunity to network with fellow competitors from around the country and push me to step way outside of my comfort zone. It’s a wonderful opportunity which has been granted to me and I am very grateful to be a part of this.”
