Friday’s Auctionsplus Eastern States sale 4 Mar saw cattle numbers back on the previous week. PTIC females were in large supply. Numbers were also up due to the first Autumn Weaner sale
17 to 20 month old Angus unjoined heifers from Glen Innes, NSW weighing 386kg sold for $1,260 (326c/kg)
The Autumn Weaner Sale pulled cattle from NSW and Victoria with a line of 208kg, 6 to 7 month old Angus weaned heifers from Oberon, NSW making $785 (378c/kg) with their slightly younger, 146kg, 5 to 6 month old sisters also selling well, making $555 (380c/kg).
PTIC first calvers saw a range of $1,300 to $1,790, to average $1,560. The top price went to two lots of 16 to 18 month old Angus heifers from Inverell, NSW.
Proven breeders ranged from $1200 to $1,930 to average $1,475. The top priced line were 687kg, 5 to 8 year old Angus cows from Mansfield, VIC.
The top priced PTIC proven breeders made $1,555 and were 530kg, 4 year old Angus cows from Millicent SA.

88 Angus steers, 267kg topped the 250-300kg market portion for steer at $1,090 (408c/kg)
34 Angus heifers, 146kg topped the under 250kg market portion for heifers at $555 (380c/kg)
39 Angus heifers, 268kg topped the 250-300kg market portion for heifers at $855 (319c/kg)
