$619 per carcase – This was the difference revealed in a recent analysis of carcase data collected in the Angus Sire Benchmarking Program (ASBP) when comparing carcase values, on a progeny average basis, between the highest and lowest ranked sires. On an individual carcase basis, the difference between the highest and lowest valued carcase was $2,076.

On a day when industry records tumbled at the Millah Murrah Female Sale, there was one star of the show that set a new all-breeds auction record when she was knocked down by auctioneer Paul Dooley for $190,000.
The World Angus Forum recently took place at the home of Aberdeen Angus in Scotland. A number of associated events were hosted by the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society providing delegates with a wide range of activities to get involved with.

More than 150 entries from 36 exhibitors across the country converged on the Sydney Royal Easter show to compete in the Angus judging. Pine Creek took out Best Exhibit honours with Senior and Grand Champion Female, PC Miss E99 Foreman J181, shown with a six-week-old bull calf. The cow edged out the Junior and Grand Champipn Bull, 858kg Carabar Docklands L36 for the title.
