A high quality yarding of 2057 weaners attracted strong competition from southern Queensland and northern NSW at the annual Glen Innes Blue Ribbon Weaner Sale on Friday 8 Apr, pushing prices to a top of $1285 a head for Angus steer weaners. READ MORE

The sixth annual weaner sale conducted by Monaro Livestock and Property (MLP) on behalf of Monaro beef producers saw 4200 cattle yarded for a complete clearance. The yarding consisted of mostly Angus cattle, with 374kg Angus steers topping the sale at $1210. READ MORE

Quality steers and heifers were in strong demand at George and Fuhrmann’s annual weaner sale in Stanthorpe on Thursday 7 Apr. Early selling had the heavier steers making 340-357c/kg live reflecting the quality of the Angus dominated yarding. READ MORE

Agents Boyd O’Brien Bartholomew reported a yarding of 748 cattle at Moreton on Tuesday.  All values were cheaper than last week. All processors were present but operating to limits. The market was still acceptable. Angus cross pasture fed ox sold for 272.2c weighing 520kg to return $1415. READ MORE
