Angus Youth success at Canberra

It has been a successful visit to the Canberra Royal Show for Angus Youth members Casey Halliday and Kahlissa Wykes, who were awarded champion and reserve champion respectively in the open paraders section, held over the weekend of the 23rd of February.

Casey, of J & C Angus, the Southern Highlands, was awarded the champion in the open division as well as champion in the 15-16 years of age section.

The win was her first at the Canberra Royal Show and added to a list of achievements in the ring, including qualifying for the paraders state final at Sydney Royal a number of times and taking out champion at Moss Vale last year.

Recently within the Angus Youth program, Casey was awarded sub-intermediate champion junior judge at the 2019 Thomas Foods International Angus Youth Roundup.

Kahlissa Wykes of Hollywood Angus, Wellington was awarded reserve champion in the open paraders section.

Kahlissa was competing in the section off the back of winning overall champion in the school paraders section at lasts years Canberra Royal Show.

Angus Youth would like to congratulate both girls on an incredibly successful showing!
