GenAngus Future Leaders Program 2nd – 4th November , Adelaide SA

The GenAngus Future Leaders Program, proudly supported by Achmea Australia, will provide 10 Angus Australia members and 2 New Zealand Angus members aged 18 – 40 with the opportunity to participate in a customised program to aid them in increasing their knowledge and confidence to launch a new or existing beef enterprise.

Participates will attend an intimate and intensive 3 day workshop with industry leading professionals, with ongoing access to personalised support and mentorship.

Who Should attend

The program is designed for individuals seeking further knowledge, skills and confidence on a range of elements associated with conducting a successful business no matter what your background. The program has key elements of key business skills success, marketing and communications, Breeding and Genetics for Beef Cattle,  teamwork, leadership and creating key networks.

How to Apply

Places are limited for up to 12 participants who will be funded by Angus Australia and Achmea Australia for Angus Australia Members aged 18 – 40 to attend the intensive workshop.

Participants will be responsible for their own travel to and from the workshop.

Accommodation , meals and program costs for the 3 days will be covered.

The potential participants are required to submit an application that will be put forward to a selection panel.

Selection Criteria

  • Applicants must be aged between 18 – 40 years old
  • Applicants must be a member of Angus Australia (Junior or Full)
  • Demonstrated commitment to the beef industry and the Angus Breed
  • Be currently running a business or about to enter into business
  • Demonstrated potential to benefit from attending the GenAngus Workshop and Program
  • Demonstrated interest in developing their business and leadership skills
  • Have a vision of what they want their business to look in the future
  • A willingness to learn

Conditions of receiving a place in the program

  • You must attend the three day workshop held in Adelaide from the 2nd to 4th of November 2021
  • You will be required to submit a written report to the Angus Australia Board on your experience during the GenAngus Program
