The Angus Australia Foundation awards the University of Illinois Scholarship to the winner of the Angus Youth National Judging Competition every year.
If you are an aspiring young cattle judge aged between 21 and 30 years, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
Entrants in the Angus Youth National Judging Competition will be required to judge a series of live cattle classes, attend an interview and demonstrate their knowledge of the beef industry during a quiz.
The winner of the National Judging Competition will receive a scholarship to travel to the USA and attend the University of Illinois, with $10,000 to cover the costs of attending the University of Illinois, as well as a variety of Angus Australia promotional clothing.
Whilst in the USA, the recipient will experience a whirlwind of events, from university classes, judging competitions and sightseeing around the USA whenever they can.
The 2020 National Judging Competition will take place at the 2020 Tocal Beef Cattle Assessment Course.
The aim of this scholarship is to:
Increase the recipient’s knowledge of the beef industry Expose the recipient to different agricultural production systems
Develop the recipient’s personal skills Strengthen relationships between the Australian and USA beef industries

*Please note: If a large number of applications are received a shortlisting process will be implemented. This will be conducted through the Judging panel.
*Angus Australia will pay for the entry of the applicant however all other travel expenses will be the responsibility of the participant.
