A further two mobs of steers from Cohort 3 of the Angus Sire Benchmarking Program (ASBP) were processed and graded across the 1st and 2nd of October 2015.
The overall performance statistics are tabled below.
The above results include:
• 55 steers from Brad & Marg Gilmour, Boorcan, Victoria.
• 72 steers from Hugh Munro, Gravesend, NSW.
This adds to the 113 steers processed earlier in the year from co-operators Roger and Geralyn Flower, Black Mountain, NSW.
The steers, which were purchased by Rangers Valley as feeders, underwent a 270+ days feeding program including 100 days in Tullimba research feedlot and the balance in Rangers Valley feedlot.
There is a further 345 cohort 3 steers from 2 mobs to be processed and graded before the end of 2015. Once the carcase grade data and meat science results are returned for all steers the information will be analysed through TACE and included in the ASBP progeny performance
