The first calf from Cohort 6 of the Angus Sire Benchmarking Program (ASBP) was born on the 13th June 2016 at the co-operator herd owned and managed by Stephen and Amity Chase, “Waitara” Trangie, NSW.
The calf was from ASBP sire Brooklana Dream H29 from a 2 year old heifer. The calf had a birth weight of 29.5 kg and a gestation length of 269 days. To see a full list of the ASBP Cohort 6 sires click here
Across the 7 co-operator herds, Cohort 6 of the ASBP is set to produce approximately 1,300 calves, with calving to be completed by mid-September 2016.
