ASBP Progeny Performance Reports Updated

January 6, 2016 3:06 pm

The Angus Sire Benchmarking Program (ASBP) Progeny Performance reports have recently been updated with new data.

To recap, this report contains a range of familiar information (TACE EBVs and selection Indexes) and new information  (progeny average values and rankings within the ASBP). The new information also includes how the sires have performed within the ASBP for traits additional to TACE analysis such as MSA Marble Score, MSA Ossification, MSA Index and shear force.

The updates specifically include:
•  Cohorts 3 to 5 – The mid-December 2015 TACE EBVs and Selection Index values.
•  Cohort 5 – A report for the first time for the Cohort 5 sires, including ASBP progeny averages for birth weight and gestation length.
•  Cohort 4 – For the Cohort 4 sires, yearling weight and carcase ultrasound scan progeny averages (note – there is more data to come for these traits for this cohort so they should be viewed as preliminary results)

There is a separate report for each Cohort that can be accessed under the Sire Benchmarking menu item on the Angus Australia website or by clicking on the link below:
