Border crossing for New South Wales residents to attend QLD cattle sales

Andrew Sinnamon (AgForce Regional Manager) has kindly compiled the following information to assist NSW residents travel into Qld to attend cattle sales.

New South Wales residents who wish to enter Qld to attend sales will need to produce the following documents.

  1. The Class exemption letter from the Chief Health Officer to the Director General CLICK HERE
  2. Proof of person (Drivers license)
  3. Proof of Activity
    1. Carry documents proving you are a livestock producer, land rates etc
    2. A letter from the sales vendor, explaining that you are travelling to QLD to inspect livestock for purchase.  State in the that these are high value animals having long term impacts on herd performance, hence it is essential that they are inspected prior to purchase.
  4. Your own COVID safety plan that demonstrates you have not been exposed to the virus, and the measures taken –  see NSW government COVID Safety Plan  template
  5. Itinerary – include a plan on where you intend to stop and stay.
