Commercial Angus AuctionPlus Report 15 July

July 18, 2016 11:38 am

Angus and Angus cross steers observed a steady market with the exception of the over 350kg group, with a jump of 28c/kg

Lighter Angus and Angus cross heifers gained 12-23c/kg with the heavier end of the market back 13-18c/kg on last week.

This week ‘on the box’ saw a significant surge in cattle numbers to total 11,953 head listed. The offerings this week were facilitated by large lines of feeder steers from Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Once again, the menu of stock available on AuctionsPlus attracted buyers of all types with fierce competition between feedlots and live exporters in Queensland.
