Commercial Angus AuctionPlus Report 5 August

August 8, 2016 3:13 pm

Friday’s AuctionPlus sale 5 Aug, saw breeder numbers steady on last week while young cattle made up most of the numbers with Angus and Angus cross topping all except one of these young cattle categories.

Restocker’s and feedlotter’s were in strong competition for young cattle across the Eastern States.

Majority of the PTIC females were heifers this week with the top line, 50 Angus, 22 to 24 month old heifers, from Bathurst NSW, making $1520. These heifers averaged 359 kg and are PTIC to an Angus bull.

Angus and Angus cross females rounded out the PTIC and Cow & Calf categories topping the market where represented.

Cow and calf prices were once again strong across the board.
