Angus and Angus cross cattle achieved an average premium of $200.36/head more than all other breeds of cattle in Friday’s AuctionsPlus sale 2 Dec.

Premiums for Angus and Angus cross cattle above the sale averages for all other breeds:

  • Steers 36c/kg
  • Heifers 24c/kg
  • PTIC Females $357.67/head
  • Cows & Calves $14.50/head

Cattle numbers have risen slightly on last Friday’s sale to 8094 head. This was partially due to a large herd dispersal.

Clearance for this sale was 62%, with Angus and Angus cross cattle making up 47% of all cattle sold.
