Commercial Angus AuctionsPlus Report 4 Nov

November 9, 2016 1:10 pm

Angus and Angus cross steers achieved a premium of $120/head more than the average steer price in Friday’s AuctionsPlus sale 4 Nov. Premiums for Angus and Angus cross cattle above the sale averages (including Angus):

  • Steers 60c/kg
  • Heifers 20c/kg
  • PTIC Females $11.50/head

Cattle numbers reduced again by a further 1268 head on the previous week as the market continued to drop.

A large percentage of lots were passed in as vendors tried to hold up the market to prices seen in previous weeks.

Strong demand remained for PTIC females and cows & calves as producers scramble to rebuild breeding stock numbers, proving they will pay good money for almost anything.
