Members who are eligible to vote in the Directors ballot will be sent electronic or postal ballots on Monday 26th March to decide the composition of the Angus Australia Board following the AGM in Armidale in May.
Since the number of nominations exceeded the number of vacant State elected Director positions for NSW (1) and the number of National elected Director positions (2), a ballot is required for these positions.
As only single nominees were received for the State elected Director positions for Western Australia and Tasmania, no ballot is required for these positions.
Financial Full and Honorary Life Members with registered addresses in NSW are eligible to participate in the ballot for the State elected Director position for NSW. All financial Full and Honorary Life Members irrespective of their registered address can participate in the ballot for the 2 National elected Director positions.
The electronic ballot will be independently conducted by ElectionBuddy.com. This ballot is scheduled to be sent via email and by SMS by ElectionBuddy.com at 12:00 noon on Monday 26th March to eligible Member contact details registered with Angus Australia. If you do not receive the ballot in your email inbox on this day then please check your junk mail folder in case the email was flagged by your email filter as SPAM.
Members who cannot vote electronically, or by SMS, should contact Angus Australia to arrange for a postal ballot to be sent to them. Postal ballots will only be provided on request from an eligible member.
Please note that members can only vote once. Once you have lodged your vote either by email or SMS no further vote can be registered against your membership.
It is perfectly legitimate to vote for the same nominee as both a State elected and a National elected Director. Where a candidate obtains sufficient votes to be elected both as a State elected Director and a National elected, they will be appointed as a State elected Director and the next most successful eligible nominee for a National elected Director position will be appointed as a National elected Director.
Where a voter’s first choice for a National elected Director position is elected to a State elected Director position, their subsequent preferred candidate will be allocated the vote for a National elected Director position.
The ballot closes at 5:00pm on the 30th April 2018 and the results will be posted on the Angus Australia website as soon as possible after that date.
Newly elected Directors will commence their term at the conclusion of the AGM in Armidale on the 24th May, 2018.
