Average Daily Maximum Temperature Map

Another key environmental factor which can cause excessive heat loads in cattle is average daily maximum temperature.

Ambient temperature has a significant effect on the amount of heat the animal is required to dissipate to maintain a normal body temperature. Importantly heat stress is typically not caused by any one factor and instead is brought on by the compounding of factors which contribute to either an increase in the body temperature of the animal or reduce the ability of the animal to dissipate heat.
