With a number of bull and female sales scheduled for the coming weeks and these unprecedented times with COVID-19, vendors are putting measures in place to ensure the comfort and safety of potential purchasers during both their inspection and sale times to ensure that hygiene and social distancing measures are adhered to. Below is a list of upcoming sales and the measures that they have put in place.
Angus Australia encourages all members that are looking to host a sale in the coming months, to talk to the agent or agents conducting your sale about implementing procedures to ensure your sale complies with the current government recommendations. We will require all attendees of the open days and Sale Day to sign a Statutory Declaration of their current health and where they have travelled in the last 14 days to gain entry. Any people coming prior to these days are also required to sign the same Stat Dec.
There will a number hand sanitiser stations located throughout bull pens so people can continually sanitise regularly. There will social distancing signs reminding people to keep their required distance, plus reminder announcements on sale day.
We will have online bidding, videos and phone bidding as we are encouraging people to bid online or by phone on sale day.
We will be holding an auction with seating 1.5 metres apart in our shed that has roof and open sides plus erect an open marquee with no sides (in case of rain as they are predicting a wet winter). Our agents have inspected and said it would be following the current COVID19 regulations.
