Interest from China continues with visit from Shanghai Office of NSW Government Trade & Investment

A visit to Armidale on the 23rd November 2015 from Tony Zhang, Trade and Investment Commissioner from the Shanghai office of the NSW Government Trade and Investment confirmed the current and continued interest in China for Australian cattle products including beef, live cattle, genetics and associated services. Also attending from the NSW Government was Rob Harrison (Senior Export Advisor) and Darren Keegan (Business Development Manager).

Angus Australia was represented at the meeting by Christian Duff (Strategic Projects Manager). The meeting also involved several other breed society representatives, the Agricultural Business Research Institute (ABRI) and the Animal genetics and Breeding Unit (AGBU).

Christian Duff said “Tony confirmed the current interest we are seeing in Australian beef and cattle products in the China market. He also highlighted that there are many trade and particularity co-investment opportunities.”
