Beef Australia kicks off in Rockhampton next week, with Angus Australia proud supporters of this event taking place in Rockhampton, Queensland from May 6th to 12th 2018.
Beef Australia is a celebration of all facets of the Australian beef industry and Angus Australia and our members will be involved during this world class event across a number of areas.
Angus Australia will have a trade stand in the Durack Pavilion across sites 1-3. Angus Australia staff will be available on the stand for consultation.

Intro: Through the supply chain from the producer, to the lot feeder and processor and making its way onto the supermarket shelf, the production of Angus cattle and the development and processing of Angus beef brands plays an integral role in the advancement of the Australian beef industry. In this seminar you’ll have a backstage pass to one of our industry’s most successful integrated Angus supply chains. What they do, how they do it, why they do it and the Angus premium generated throughout their enterprises.
Speakers:
Pat Gleeson: Pat is the General Manager at Oakey Beef Exports and Thomas Borthwicks, Mackay at NH Foods Australia Group. He is a director of AMPC (Australian Meat Processor Corporation) and an active on a number of industry boards and advisory panels. A fourth generation cattle producer from Crows Nest in Queensland. Pat has over 3 decades of experience in cattle production, beef processing and management across the beef supply chain.
Pat will discuss the integration of the NH Foods supply chain of their valued Angus suppliers, Whyalla Feedlot and the Oakey Beef Exports processing plant.
NH Foods premium Angus beef brands include Angus Reserve, 1788 Platinum and Omugi. Pat will elaborate on each of these brands and share with us the benefits NH Foods sees in promoting these Angus brands.
Marcel Moodley, Assistant General Merchandise Manager, Costco Wholesale will share the merits of the black Angus Reserve program and how it assists them in generating consumer demand and delivering quality Angus beef to their consumers.
