One week until Angus Roundup

January 8, 2016 1:10 pm

The Angus Youth National Roundup is just over a week away from kicking off in Armidale from the 14th to the 17th of January. With over 220 exhibitors entered, this promises to be the biggest Roundup held by Angus Australia.

Roundup is the premier event for young beef cattle enthusiasts within Australia.

The Roundup program includes a series of educational sessions and competitions, along with many fun activities held over four days in January each year, as well as competitions for Junior Judging, herdsman awards, paraders classes and cattle classes. A number of awards and scholarships are also up for grabs during the event.. The event is open to experienced and novice competitors alike, aged between 8 and 25 years.

In a first for the Roundup an educational seminar will be held for parents and friends at 3pm on Friday the 15th of January, to be followed by a small social event at the conclusion of the seminar.

Tickets can still be purchased for the Special Dinner Dance which will be held at the Armidale Ex Services Club on Saturday the 16th of January.

A big thank you must also be extended to the sponsors of the 2016 Angus Youth Roundup, without their generous donations and support, an event of this calibre would not be possible.
