New Position Available – Supply Chain Officer (Contract)

Location: Armidale NSW

Angus Australia is seeking a full-time Supply Chain Officer for 12 months. Potential may exist to extend employment beyond this period depending on the skills and performance of the successful applicant and opportunities available at the time.

The Supply Chain Officer will administer quality management systems with beef processors in Australia and New Zealand for Angus breed verification of Angus branded beef products. The Supply Chain Officer will assist the Angus Australia Commercial Development Manager with beef supply chain engagement and market education strategies and delivery.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and conduct quality management system audits for Angus branded beef products with beef processors
  • Generate and deliver reports on quality management system audits to Angus Australia and beef processors
  • Assist with development of beef supply chain initiatives & market education strategies
  • Assist with delivery of beef supply chain initiatives & market education to Angus Australia members
  • Report on all activities to management

Demonstrated Skills:

  • Ability to build effective business relationships
  • Knowledge of quality management systems
  • Meat industry knowledge
  • General knowledge of beef supply chains
  • Q Fever vaccination required
  • Experienced meat industry auditor, preferable but not essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current driver’s license
