The University of Illinois allows a young beef cattle enthusiast the chance to study at one of the best agricultural university’s in the USA.
Beef cattle are a key focus of with state-of-the-art research facilities at the University of Illinois. With brilliant teaching facilities and staff, the university offers an exceptional learning environment.
Sponsored by the Angus Australia Foundation, the University of Illinois Scholarship provides an Angus Australia member aged between 21 and 30 years old the opportunity to study at the University of Illinois for one semester (US spring semester, January through to April/May).
The scholarship is open to any young beef cattle enthusiast who is a member of Angus Australia wanting to increase their knowledge of all facets of the beef industry.
Not only does this scholarship represent a once in a lifetime opportunity for the recipient, it provides the recipient with $10,000 to cover the costs of attending the University of Illinois, as well as a variety of Angus Australia promotional clothing.
Whilst in the USA, the recipient will experience a whirlwind of events, from university classes, judging competitions and sightseeing around the USA whenever they can.
To apply for this scholarship applicants must compete application questions and submit judging performance record for the past 3 to 5 years and resume. Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted to be interview.
Withing 3 weeks of returning a full written trip report must be provided to the Angus Australia Foundation.
