At a recent meeting of the South Australia State Committee, young Angus breeder Trent Walker was duly elected as the new President of the committee. Trent replaces Guy Cunningham after three years in the role.

Mr Walker hails from Lameroo in South Australia, where alongside his family he runs a mixed farming enterprise, as well as the Keringa Angus stud that they have been working on expanding over the last couple of years.

Mr Walker has a passion for the development of youth and the future leaders of the beef industry and believes it is important to encourage young people and to help develop their careers and ambitions within the industry.

In 2015 Mr Walker was the coordinator of the National Angus Youth Roundup, that was held at Wodonga in January.
