The TransTasman Angus Cattle Evaluation (TACE) EBVs and progeny averages listed in the Angus Sire Benchmarking Project (ASBP) Progeny Performance Reports and online in angus.tech have recently been updated to include the following progeny data:

  • Cohort 7: All abattoir carcase data which includes 282 long-fed (e.g. 200+ day) steers and 340 mid-fed (e.g. 100+ day) steers, including full bone-out yield data on the mid-fed steers.
  • Cohort 8: Additional yearling weights and ultrasound scans (EMA, IMF, rib and rump fat) data – Note the progeny averages may change with additional weight and scan data for this cohort.
  • Cohort 9: All calving data including birth weights, gestation lengths and calving difficulty scores on 506 calves.
  • Cohorts 7, 8 and 9: Updated TACE EBVs from the January 2020 TACE analysis.

There is a separate report for each Cohort that can be accessed under the Sire Benchmarking menu item on the Angus Australia website (www.angusaustralia.com.au) or by clicking on the link below:
