Earlier this month we lost an incredibly courageous and inspirational woman in Mona Kirkman. As a fellow Angus breeder I came to know Mona and Neville when they bought cows off us in the 90’s and they later moved to Walcha at Nemonaville to pursue their passion for stud Angus. As with everything she did Mona fought her cancer with tenacity and strength.
Mona was a gifted horsewoman and cattlewoman. She was tough and tenacious and competitive and yet always willing for a yarn or to give you a hand. She was a very kind and considerate person with a great sense of humour. Mona always got things done and I respected her immensely.
Mona and Neville built one of the finest farms and Angus herds around with absolute passion and commitment. They were a formidable pair and our love and thoughts go to Neville during this sad time.
