The Southern Grassfed Carcase Classic once again proved to be a happy hunting ground for commercial Angus producers, with Angus entries taking out major awards.
The Allan Kranz Memorial Trophy for Highest MSA Eating Quality carcase, once again went to an Angus animal, with Crower Partners Lucindale SA claiming the win.
The Best Team of 10 Animals was awarded to a team of Angus steers entered by McBride Operations, Telopea Downs on the SA Vic border.
More than 1000 steers and heifers were entered in the 15th Carcase Classic, with entries received from South Australia and Victoria and processed at Teys Australia’s Naracoorte abattoir over a five-month period.
