Election of Directors 2023
Nominations for election as a Director of The Angus Society of Australia Ltd closed on the 31st March, 2023.
At closing the following nominations were received:
National: James Laurie, Simon Falkiner
Queensland: Brett Piraner, Ben Hill
South Australia: David Misan, Simone Bond, Mark Fairlie
Victoria: Nick Moyle, Simon Falkiner, Peter Collins
Election statements for each candidate are included with their names on the ballot form.
Members who are eligible to vote in the Directors ballot will be sent electronic ballots on Thursday 6th April to decide the composition of the Angus Australia Board following the AGM in May.
Financial Full and Honorary Life Members with registered addresses in Queensland, South Australia and Victoria are eligible to participate in the ballot for the State elected Director position for their relevant state.
All financial Full and Honorary Life Members have been invited to participate in the ballot for the single National elected Director position.
Members are able to vote for the same nominee as both a State elected and a National elected Director. Where a candidate obtains sufficient votes to be elected both as a State elected Director and a National elected, they will be appointed as a State elected Director and the next most successful eligible nominee for a National elected Director position will be appointed as a National elected Director.
The electronic ballot is being independently conducted by ElectionBuddy.com and will be sent via email and by SMS to eligible Member contact details registered with Angus Australia at 10:00am on Thursday 6th April. If you do not receive the ballot in your email inbox on this day, please check your junk mail folder in case the email was flagged by your email filter as SPAM.
The ballot will close at 5:00pm on the 4th May 2023.
The results of the ballot will be scrutinised by the company auditors and posted on the Angus Australia website as soon as possible after the close of the ballot.
Newly elected Directors will commence their term at the conclusion of the AGM in Tamworth on the 18th May, 2023.
