Angus at EKKA
The 2025 Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) once again showcased the quality, consistency, and depth of the Angus breed, with exhibitors from across the country presenting outstanding cattle in the judging ring.
The Angus judging was overseen by judge Jake Phillips, with 56 exhibits entered. Major awards went to CL Fuller and GJ Iseppi of Diamond Angus, Cowra, NSW, who secured the Grand Champion Female with Diamond Elas Miss Legend T413 and the Junior Champion Female with Diamond Miss U Reckon U462. AJ and M Scrivener of The Station Angus, Yarrowitch, NSW, won Grand Champion Male with The Station King T106.
Other notable winners included SB & KL Smith, K5X Angus, Allora, with Junior Champion Male K5X Viper V6, and CL & GJ Iseppi also taking out the Breeders Group award.
