2026 University of Illinois Scholarship Recipient Eager to Grow Knowledge
Angus Australia is proud to announce Eden Kaminski, from the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, as the 2026 recipient of the prestigious Angus Foundation – University of Illinois Scholarship. For more than four decades, this scholarship has provided young Australians with the opportunity to gain international experience and broaden their horizons in agriculture.
Eden, who is currently studying a Bachelor of Agriculture at the University of New England, will receive $15,000 from the Angus Foundation to support his travel and accommodation during the Spring 2026 semester at the University of Illinois (U of I). During his time in the United States, Eden will travel across the United States to participate in livestock and meat judging competitions, gaining hands-on experience across diverse production systems and deepening his understanding of the global beef industry.
Scott Wright, Chief Executive Officer at Angus Australia, congratulated Eden on his achievement, saying, “Eden’s passion for agriculture and his commitment to learning make him an outstanding recipient of this scholarship. We are excited to see how this experience will help him grow both personally and professionally, and we look forward to the insights he will bring back to the Angus Australia community.”
Reflecting on the opportunity, Eden said, “I am incredibly grateful for the chance to further develop my understanding of the global beef industry and focus on livestock and meat animal evaluation in North America.”
Following his semester abroad, Eden will share a detailed report of his experiences with the Angus Australia community through the Bulletin and website.
“We look forward to following Eden’s journey at U of I and sharing his insights with our members,” added Scott.
