2027 Angus Foundation Research Grant Applications Now Open
Applications are now open for the 2027 Angus Foundation Research Grant, providing emerging researchers with the opportunity to access up to $20,000 in funding for research with the potential to deliver value to Angus breeders and the Australian beef industry.
The Angus Foundation Research Grant supports eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students undertaking research that can be applied to the Australian beef industry and contribute to enhancing the value of Angus genetics and beef.
Funding can be used to support a completely new research project or to extend work already underway by enabling researchers to explore additional findings and increase the value and industry relevance of an existing project.
Applications are encouraged from researchers whose work demonstrates sound scientific methodology and the potential to deliver practical outcomes for users of Angus and Angus-influenced genetics.
Projects will be considered competitively, with assessment taking into account the proposed area of study, scientific methodology, suitability of the researcher and research team, alignment with Angus Australia priorities and the potential value of the research to industry.
The Research Grant is valued at up to $20,000 AUD, with Angus Australia retaining the option to award an alternate amount where more than one suitable application is received. Applicants are required to provide details of their proposed research and methodology, together with an itemised project budget.
Applications close Friday 16 October 2026.
