EBVs now integrated into AuctionsPlus Angus stud sale catalogues

AuctionsPlus has partnered with Angus Australia to integrate Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs) directly into Angus stud sale catalogues on the platform, giving buyers trusted genetic data alongside sale information for every lot.

The integration means EBVs, complete with percentiles and accuracies, now sit front and centre in AuctionsPlus’ Angus stud catalogues rather than requiring buyers to cross-reference separate sources.

“By bringing verified genetic data directly into the catalogue, we’re giving Angus buyers everything they need to make confident, informed decisions in one place, and giving vendors a stronger platform to showcase the genetics they’ve worked hard to breed,” said AuctionsPlus Business Development Manager Oliver Hoare.

What it means for studs
For Angus vendors, the integration puts genetic performance at the centre of every listing. Buyers can search and filter lots by EBVs, indexes and key breeding traits, connecting studs with buyers actively seeking the genetics they’re producing.

The process is fully automated. Studs with a sale already booked on AuctionsPlus will have EBV data populate in their catalogue once it goes live, with no manual data entry required.

What it means for buyers
For commercial producers and stud buyers, the integration allows genetic information to be searched, filtered and compared within a single sale or across studs nationally. Paired with AuctionsPlus’s existing sale and lot details, it gives buyers a fuller picture of each lot, both structurally and genetically, to bid on with confidence.

Live now for upcoming sales
The integration is now live across AuctionsPlus-hosted Angus stud sales. Vendors with a sale already booked don’t need to take any action, as EBV data will appear automatically once their catalogue goes live. Studs yet to book a sale can do so through AuctionsPlus to access the feature.
