Important DNA Information Update for Members
Angus Australia would like to advise members of several updates relating to DNA testing and submission processes. These refinements have been introduced to support efficient laboratory workflows and help avoid unnecessary delays with member samples.
Please take a moment to review the information below to ensure future submissions are lodged correctly.
Base Panel Testing
Base Panel testing for samples submitted through Angus Australia will conclude on 27 February 2026. Members intending to access this service are encouraged to ensure samples are submitted prior to this date.
Hair Sample Requirements
To assist with smooth processing, hair samples must be submitted using the appropriate approved hair collectors. If samples are not already on the correct collectors, members will need to arrange transfer prior to submission.
Please note:
Ensuring samples are submitted on the correct collector will help prevent delays in laboratory processing.
BVDV Testing Requests
When submitting DNA requests that include BVDV testing, requests must be clearly separated from non-BVDV testing.
This means:
This separation supports accurate handling and timely turnaround at the laboratory.
Direct to Laboratory Submissions
For members submitting samples directly to the laboratory, please note the following laboratory requirements:
Taking these simple steps will help ensure your submissions are processed efficiently.
The Member Services and Operations Team are always happy to assist with any questions regarding DNA submissions. If you are unsure about any part of the process, please contact the team prior to lodging your samples.
We appreciate your cooperation in supporting efficient and accurate DNA testing services for all Angus Australia members.
