Post-Tour Underway, Concluding the 2025 Neogen World Angus Forum

The 2025 Neogen World Angus Forum has entered its final phase with the commencement of the Post Tour on May 9. This week-long journey through Queensland’s outback offers delegates an immersive experience into the application of Angus genetics across diverse environments.
So far, participants have visited Longreach, where they explored the Qantas Founders Museum, and the Stockmans Hall of Fame. In Barcaldine, the tour continued with insights into local cattle operation, Isis Downs, owned by Consolidated Pastoral Company. The itinerary moved through to Alpha with a stop at Appleton Cattle Company’s Islay Plains Station, providing a comprehensive view of Angus adaptability in central and western Queensland. The tour then stopped in Roma on sale day for a tour of the Roma Saleyards, and the towns Big Rig attraction.
As the tour progresses, delegates are gaining firsthand knowledge of breeding programs, pasture management, and sustainability initiatives that contribute to the success of Angus enterprises in these regions. Until Friday, the tour will continue east through to Brisbane, with stops at Stockyard Beefs Kerwee Feedlot, the Jondaryan Woolshed, the Paddock Butchery and the XXXX Brewery.
