Ruby Canning awarded Canberra Royal Junior Judging title

It was a successful day out for Angus Youth member Ruby Canning, who took out the Champion Junior Judging competition at the recent Canberra Royal Show.

Miss Canning has a long history with the show, having competed in the junior judging competition since she was 8 years old and with her family taking to the ring showing cattle at the show for over 20 years.

Miss Canning has also judged a number of cattle shows in NSW, Victoria and Tasmania, as well as being awarded the Adelaide Royal Show Junior Judging Champion in 2015.

Miss Canning has a long involvement within the Angus Youth program, having competed in a number of Angus Youth Roundups.

Miss Canning also took part in the inaugural GenAngus Future Leaders Program, and was recipient of the 2018 BeefEX and the 2019 ACRBA Young Breed Leaders Workshop scholarships.  She is also a member of the Angus Youth Consultative Committee, in which she provides consultation and representation on behalf of Angus Youth members and assist in providing ideas for youth focused educational and extension activities for consideration within the Angus Australia Marketing, Communications & Youth Operational Plan.
