Angus Australia and the Angus Foundation are pleased to announce applications are now open for the 2027 Kansas State University Scholarship, offering a young Angus Australia member the opportunity to undertake a semester of study at one of the United States’ leading agricultural universities.

Recipients have the opportunity to study alongside students from around the world while building industry networks and experiencing a different production environment.
Recent scholarship recipient Libby Falkiner described the experience as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

The scholarship has helped many young Angus Australia members broaden their knowledge, strengthen industry connections and develop skills that continue to benefit their careers long after returning home.
Angus Australia Extension Officer Brad Hine said the scholarship continues to provide young members with an opportunity to challenge themselves while gaining a global perspective on beef production.
“The Kansas State University Scholarship allows recipients to combine academic study with real-world industry exposure. It is an opportunity to develop professionally while building networks and experiences that can influence a lifetime career in agriculture.”
The 2026 scholarship was awarded to Bonnie Lunn, who elected to defer her studies until 2027 to complete her university degree before travelling to the United States.
