Northern Development Consultative Committee
Supporting the growth of Angus genetics and Angus-influenced cattle throughout northern Australia.
An important strategic priority for Angus Australia is the development and implementation of a sustainable Northern Development Program aimed at increasing demand for Angus and Angus-infused cattle throughout the northern beef supply chain. The program supports all sectors of the industry, including breeders, backgrounders, grass finishers, feedlots, processors and exporters, delivering benefits for both Angus Australia members and the wider beef industry.
The Northern Development Consultative Committee was established to provide industry expertise and strategic guidance to the Angus Australia Board of Directors and management team.
The committee’s purpose is to:
- Provide guidance in developing policies, strategies and plans relating to Angus Australia’s Northern Development Program.
- Monitor the activities, progress and outcomes of the Northern Development Program.
- Represent the views and requirements of northern Australian beef producers in relation to Angus genetics and Angus-influenced cattle.
