Angus Australia supports Southern Beef and Lamb School

Angus Australia is proud to sponsor Riverina Local Land Services to host the very first Southern Beef and Lamb School to be held from 17-19 February 2026 at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga.

The school will give leading producers and advisers higher-level knowledge on markets, genetics, nutrition, ag business and meat science plus networking opportunities. There’ll be a mix of morning lectures and afternoon workshops with practical take-homes and new skills to implement.

Running over 2.5 days the school offers breakout sessions to deep dive into beef and lamb specifics with an inspiring list of speakers from processors, retailers, producers, scientists and industry leaders.

On the program:

  • markets: capitalising on international and domestic opportunities
  • using genetics and genomics for advancing beef and lamb operations
  • optimising animal health and nutrition
  • healthy soils and productive pastures
  • improving carcase quality
  • farm business management.
