Angus Australia members can now access the HeiferSELECT and SteerSELECT database search functions within angus.tech, providing a new way to explore, sort and analyse their genomic results.

The newly available search functionality allows users to access their HeiferSELECT and SteerSELECT results through the Database Search and Report Centre within angus.tech.

Using the Database Search, producers can sort and filter results to more easily identify animals of interest, compare performance and explore the information generated through their HeiferSELECT or SteerSELECT testing.

More ways to analyse your results

The Report Centre provides access to a range of reports designed to help producers interpret their results and use the information within their breeding and management decisions.

Available reports include:

  • Search Result Listing – available in PDF and CSV formats
  • Result Summary
  • Sire Summary
  • Trait Comparison
  • Trait Distribution

The addition of the database search and reporting tools gives HeiferSELECT and SteerSELECT users greater flexibility to interrogate their results, whether they are looking across an entire group of animals, comparing individual traits or examining the influence of different sires.

Turning genomic information into practical decisions

HeiferSELECT and SteerSELECT provide commercial Angus producers with genomic information to support more informed breeding and management decisions.

By making results searchable within angus.tech, producers can now move beyond viewing individual results and more easily identify trends and differences across groups of cattle.

This can help users determine which animals best align with their breeding objectives, understand the distribution of key traits within a group and make greater use of the genomic information available to their business.

Members can access the new functionality by logging into angus.tech and navigating to the Database Search and Report Centre.
