Presented by Angus Australia Foundation with the support of Achmea Australia
Since its launch in 2019, the GenAngus Future Leaders Program has become the pinnacle of youth development at Angus Australia — a transformative experience that’s shaping the future of the beef industry. Now entering its 8th cohort in 2026, the program has supported over 80 alumni, many of whom have gone on to purchase land, acquire businesses, and build their own enterprises from the ground up.
Each year, 14 ambitious Angus Australia members aged 18–40 are selected to take part in this life-changing journey. It begins with a three-day intensive workshop, followed by a 12-month leadership experience that delivers practical knowledge, strategic insight, and personal growth.
What you’ll gain:
- Real-world business skills: financials, benchmarking, succession planning
- Industry insight: beef supply chain, risk and liability
- Personal development: mindset, leadership, and vision
- Connections that count: lifelong friendships and access to mentors
Led by respected industry professionals, GenAngus is the first program of its kind developed by a breed society — and it’s more than just a course. It’s a launchpad for young leaders ready to make their mark.
The program is proudly coordinated by Nancy Crawshaw, a 2022 GenAngus alumna whose firsthand experience brings authenticity and passion to the role. The workshop is facilitated by Milly Nolan, whose energy and expertise ensure an engaging and impactful experience for every participant.
We’re also thrilled to be welcoming back more of our alumni as guest speakers, sharing their insights and success stories in areas ranging from business growth to innovation and leadership. Their journeys are proof that GenAngus doesn’t just teach — it transforms.
Whether you’re starting your own beef business or scaling up an existing one, GenAngus gives you the tools, confidence, and community to succeed. If you’re ready to take the leap, this is the program that will change your life.
