The Zoetis AngusTREK was a week of exploring what the east coast of the Australia has to offer, with almost 200 local and international delegates traversing around the heartland of farming country of NSW and through to QLD. 

Over eight days, five buses of participants travelled from Sydney to Brisbane, engaging with leading Angus enterprises and taking in what Australian hospitality had to offer. 

The stops included: 

Sunny Point Pastoral Co: A family-run operation near Oberon, exemplifying a paddock-to-plate model with a 700-head self-replacing Angus herd. 

Karoo Angus: Located in the Central Tablelands, this stud boasts over 30 years in the seedstock industry, managing both registered and commercial Angus herds. 

Millah Murrah Angus: Renowned for setting multiple breed average bull price records, emphasizing rigorous sire selection through live inspections. 

Bald Blair Angus: Known for producing structurally sound, high-performance cattle, Bald Blair demonstrated the impact of balanced genetics on long-term herd profitability and productivity. 

Rangers Valley: This iconic feedlot and beef production company is renowned for its premium, long-fed beef programs, including the Black Market Angus and Black Onyx brands. Delegates gained insights into their operations. 

Ced Wise AB Services: Located near Stanthorpe, this innovative artificial breeding service provider shared its expertise in genetic improvement, showcasing how cutting-edge reproductive technologies are enhancing cattle performance and herd efficiency across the industry. 

University of Queensland Gatton Campus: As one of Australia’s leading agricultural education and research institutions, the Gatton Campus provided a glimpse into the future of beef production, highlighting advancements in livestock science, nutrition, and management. 

The itinerary also included visits to picturesque locales like Mayfield Garden and the Swinging Bridge Cellar Door, offering delegates a taste of regional hospitality and produce.
